Israeli kill 51 Palestinians waiting for flour at an aid distribution site in Gaza, according to witnesses and rescuers.

Israeli forces killed over 51 Palestinians and injured more than 200 near an aid distribution site in Khan Younis, southern Gaza, according to witnesses and rescuers. The incident occurred as large crowds gathered to receive flour from a World Food Programme site. 

Reports say Israeli drones and tanks fired on the area, causing mass casualties. Nasser Hospital, the main facility in the area, is overwhelmed with the number of injured. 

The Israeli military says it is investigating the incident. The UN human rights chief condemned Israel for "weaponizing food" and called for an investigation into repeated shootings near aid sites.
